Outcomes Research & AMR: Defining the Value of Healthcare Interventions in Antimicrobial Resistance
SUMMARY
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing public health concern, causing significant mortality and morbidity worldwide.This report discusses global AMR concerns and the value of diagnostics and susceptibility tests for guiding informed treatment decisions in healthcare settings. The project – involving multidisciplinary collaborators – investigates the cost-benefit advantages of implementing antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) with rapid diagnostics at the point of care.
