SUMMARY
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) released a study showing that monoclonal antibody therapy can help certain people fight COVID-19 and keep them from progressing to serious illness and death. This study demonstrates how they were able to distribute and administer agents across 35 hospitals, several senior community facilities and skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and numerous outpatient providers. Because administering these infusions comes with logistical challenges, UPMC addresses concerns and shares recommendations in this study including infection prevention measures.
