Coronavirus Disease 2019 As Cause Of Viral Sepsis: A Systematic Review And Meta-analysis

SUMMARY

According to a review of current literature about sepsis and COVID-19, a significant portion of COVID-19 patients in the ICU experienced symptoms that would classify as sepsis as stated in the international standard definition of the disease. Quantifying the link has important treatment and policy-making implications for dealing with current and future pandemics and addressing public health issues.
