Ghent, Belgium - September 14, 2006. bioMérieux was proud to present its ninth Award on Pathogen Research at the “Eleventh Conference on Food Microbiology”, held this year by the University of Ghent, Belgium, on September 14th and 15th.
The 2006 edition welcomed around 300 participants from the Belgium authorities, reference labs, public and private food labs and auto-control labs.
A jury of experts chose from a selection of around 30 abstracts and Peter Van Landschoot, Sales and Marketing Manager - Industry at bioMérieux, was particularly pleased with the recognition of Mrs Van Coillie’s research team from CLO Melle ; the work was dedicated to “Screening of in vitro probiotic of lactobacilli isolated from laying hens and in vivo evaluation of colonization and inhibition of Salmonella Enteriditis”.
François-Donald Monroe, Food Market Manager - Industry and Europe at bioMérieux, presented the Award and a 1000 € check to the team and conveyed a strong message about bioMérieux’s commitment to innovation in the field of food safety.
