SUMMARY
In 2019, a select group of academic, federal, professional, industry, and patient representative organizations met to discuss best practices for improving patient safety through diagnostic stewardship. CDC members created this white paper as a way to push action items forward from this discussion and distribute the knowledge to a wider audience.
