Interview with Jérôme Desmolaize, 3P® Implementation Project Leader

Throughout Environmental Monitoring solution implementation project, our customers face different challenges in terms of:

  • Organization: such implementation is complex for customers, as several departments and expertise have to be involved.  We support them in creating their own project team to collaborate with our own implementation team. We work in partnership with every stakeholder that will be involved (EM Quality Lab Manager for lab organization; EM Production Manager for sampling organization; IT teams…)
  • Solution integration: IT integration and cybersecurity can be specifically tricky but thanks to our partnership and expertise sharing, we ease the integration. Most of these complexities are addressed during the pre-sales discussions and during specific workshops prior to switching to the implementation phase. This allows to de-risk most of major constraints that the customers may have, especially the ones focused on IT & Cybersecutity.
  • Change management: the final users of the solution are not to be forgotten! It is quite a transformation to shift from a manual process to an entirely digitalized and automated one – our teams are here to accompany people in this change.

Our projects are managed with an end-to-end partnership approach. We know that these integrations are complex but we make it a point to be here every step of the way, so that the solution integration is as seamless as possible into our customers’ environment.

Sometimes, that means we will adapt our solution to fit into their environment and constraints. For example, we once proposed a specific driver to easily connect the solution to our customer LIMS system. We also adapt our project timeline to our customers’, to better fit with their schedules and processes.

These adaptations can only be possible by involving our partners proactively in the project, providing visibility and clarity and planning regular touchpoints with them.

We offer an end-to-end service: that means we’re here from pre-sales discussions,  initial workshops to final trainings and implementation. But we don’t stop there! Our teams remain available for support and hypercare even after the implementation project is completed if needed.

However, our customers tend to not need us that much afterwards because we train them to be autonomous on our solution so that they perform maintenance operations themselves! This is the goal of our OPTIMAL Service Contract model – giving the key to users of the solutions so that they gain in efficiency and reactivity.

About Our Expert Jérôme

I have been a part of the Europe, Middle-East & Africa Regional Industry Customer Service as 3P® ENTERPRISE Customer & IT Project Lead since the beginning of 2021.

I spent most of my life as Support System Engineer, and went on as IT Solutions Product Manager and Software Project Manager.  These competencies allow me to have a 360° customer view that are necessary to understanding customer's needs and constrains and to address them transversally.

My main mission is to manage projects to implement our 3P® ENTERPRISE solution within customers’ labs and production, including the IT part of the project.
