Choosing VITEK® MS PRIME: A Strategic Decision

Why VITEK® MS PRIME?

Considering the new Annex 1 requirements, prioritizing species identification has become crucial. Our experience with environmental contaminants, which are often challenging to identify at the species level, led us to choose VITEK® MS PRIME. This advanced solution offers proven performance, enabling us to achieve accurate species level identification and thereby differentiate ourselves in the competitive market.

“VITEK® MS PRIME has significantly enhanced our ability to identify at the species level accurately and efficiently, setting us apart in the industry.”

Philippe Tailliez, Operational Director at ACM Pharma

Handling Large Volumes of Identifications

How does VITEK® MS PRIME help optimize routine activities and maintain the testing schedule?

VITEK® MS PRIME enables us to process samples on receipt and, for isolated and recent germs, to deliver results on the day of receipt. Sample flow has been optimized to guarantee fast, efficient handling (barcoding, system-integrated traceability, optimized laser process, rapid results, etc.). We no longer have a limit on the number of identifications carried out per day.

Germs can come from many different culture media, including those used in the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, VITEK® MS PRIME enables us to handle urgent identifications at any time, without disrupting the continuous flow of incoming identifications.

Ensuring Quality and Reliability

What are the validation criteria for new VITEK® MS PRIME users?

To guarantee the highest level of performance and validate our services, we can rely on the closed IVD database validated by bioMérieux. This database undergoes a thorough validation process, incorporating bacterial and fungal profiles based on spectra and super spectra from numerous strains of the same species, sourced from diverse environments and cultured under varying conditions.

Additionally, the RUO Saramis database complements our offerings, allowing us to provide more comprehensive results and enrich our database at our customers' request, following a robust protocol.
