Antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) systems need to be accurate, rapid, affordable and useable for a broad antimicrobial menu to enable widespread clinical adoption. This study by Henry Ford Health System and Specific Diagnostics evaluated its impact on positive blood cultures with Gram-negative organisms in a relatively resistant population to assess its potential for routine clinical use.
