Syndromic Testing for Joint Infections: What Is It and Why Should It Matter to You?

Set Sail on the Antimicrobial StewardSHIP: Best Practices in Optimizing Infection Management

This activity has been developed independently by Medscape.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to incorporate multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing into the comprehensive management of patients with infectious diseases to improve antibiotic stewardship practices.

This activity is supported by an educational grant from bioMérieux, Inc.

Microbiology Laboratory Testing to Address AMR

The Global Health Continuing Professional Development (GHCPD) program and the International Diagnostics Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IDC/LSHTM) launched in 2022 a free 3-week online course curriculum covering the microbiology laboratory in the fight against AMR.

Three modules:

  • The role of the microbiology laboratory in the fight against AMR
  • The AMR laboratory: antibiotic susceptibility and resistance testing for clinical care
  • Role of the laboratory in the prevention and control of AMR in healthcare settings

In addition, an AMR Case Studies Series has been launched in 2023.

This course has been supported by an unrestricted educational grant from bioMérieux.

Rapid Diagnostic Testing: Getting the Upper Hand on Respiratory Tract Infections

This activity has been developed independently by PeerVoice. It includes six episodes by Dr Payal Patel and Dr Kay Roy.

This activity is supported by an educational grant from bioMérieux.

bioMérieux - MedScape Diagnostic Technologies: Elevating Antimicrobial Stewardship to the Next Level

Diagnostic Technologies: Elevating Antimicrobial Stewardship to the Next Level

This activity has been developed independently by Medscape.

The goals of this activity are that clinicians will be more knowledgable about and competent in the use of rapid diagnostic technologies for infectious diseases and be better able to practice antimicrobial stewardship.

This activity is supported by an educational grant from bioMérieux, Inc.
